Lockheed T-33 "Shooting Star"

The T-33 was developed from the F-80 Fighter by lengthening the fuselage and adding a second seat in the cockpit.
First flight was in March of 1948. It was a very successful design, being used by over 20 different countries.

ABOVE and BELOW: This T-33 was just flown into March AFB, CA for placement in the museum there when I took these pictures. Photo was taken in front of base ops and in the pic below, the pilot is getting back in to taxi over to the museum flightline display area.
